Quezon Food Trip: Kamayan Sa Palaisdaan

Palaisdaan is one of those restaurants that we always tell our visiting friends that they should try to. Especially if they are to visit Kamay ni Hesus in Pagbilao, Quezon which is a tourist spot that is quite near in this restaurant. Well, this is one of my favorite restaurant in Quezon.

Actually there are two Kamayan sa Palaisdaan in that area. The other one is owned by a family member but we always go particularly on the second one. I mean the second Palaisdaan restaurant if you are coming from Lucena / Tayabas City. The one that is closer to Kamay ni Hesus. Before, since it is called Kamayan, people need to eat with their bare hands, unless you request for a spoon and fork. But now, they automatically give spoon and fork to customers. Well kamayan is the fun part in eating in this restaurant aside from the floating bamboo huts. What also keeps us coming back here is the calm and quiet atmosphere with a cool breeze, a perfect getaway from a week of hard work in the city.

Main dish ranges from Php200-350, while vegetables ranges from Php60-180. There is also pansit lucban / canton / bihon (Php200-250), salads (Php70-200) and desserts like leche flan and buko pandan (Php110-130). There are also refreshments such as halo-halo and mais con yelo, fresh fruit juices, softdrinks up to beers and liqours.

A must try in Quezon!
